How Low Can You Go?

We are not talking the limbo dance here. We are into water and how little can you use. On the toilet side we just replaced a water guzzler in our home with a 3 liter Hennessy and Hinchcliffe model. I am impressed – stylish and efficient! The mechanism is different in the tank, creating a vacuum to drive the water into the bowl - which quickly removes contents. Canadian designed, built and distributed by Phil Hennessy and Mark Hinchcliffe.
For even lower use, the Sun-Mar Excel NE composting toilet uses no water. We put one in our Muskoka boat house in 2009, with good results. It provides the overnight users a close, clean efficient facility and for the beach crowd – a convenient place to go – rather than hike back up to the cottage.
